New benefits advice booklet from the MS Society

Benefits and MS graphicThe MS Society have published a new welfare benefits guide which aims to give a simplified overview of the benefits system, which has never been easy to understand but is currently going through some of the biggest changes in 50 years.

Although it’s written for people with MS it’s a useful introduction for anyone involved in the benefits system.

The guide doesn’t cover every possible benefit, eg it doesn’t cover industrial injury, maternity
or bereavement, and they stress that you should contact advice agencies (like DAS) for individual advice about which benefits you’re entitled to and, if there’s a choice, which ones would be best to claim.
